Yidi is the Chinese god of bartenders. After a hard day, the gods and goddess asked Yidi for a little drinkie. He invented baijiu. The gods & goddesses LOVED it! They had the time of their immortal lives then passed out all over the place. It’s a very strong drink, you see, stronger than anything before. The gods & goddesses woke up puking with splitting headaches the morning after. They banned baijiu and punished Yidi with banishment. Guess what. Yidi still illegally makes and sells baijiu to the gods & goddesses (who can hold their liquor) for cash under the table after they’ve had a particularly bad day.
